BOFA for SEND pupils
BOFA is used widely across the UK to assist pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. BOFA creates an independent learning environment with tailored teaching and practice, giving pupils a bespoke learning experience with the right amount of support for them.
There are also specific BOFA features that have been created with SEND pupils in mind.
Pupils are able to pause the tests whenever they want - allowing them to adapt their use of BOFA to their own attention span. This also means that if a pupil finds they are experiencing any anxiety because they have moved forwards too quickly, they will be able to take a break and return to BOFA at a later time. If a pupil finds the clock within the test to be distracting or stress-inducing, this can be hidden at any time. However, it can also be used for encouraging time management skills.
Pupils can vary the size and colour of the text within the tests, which assissts with visibility needs. Test background colours can also be changed to assist visibility.
