Why are there different levels of test on Planet BOFA?

Our 11+ products are set at year group levels:

Adaptive tests

The adaptive test star levels roughly align to school years but there will be some overlap between the levels.

  • 1 Star - Year 3
  • 2 Star - Year 3-4
  • 3 Star - Year 4-5
  • 4 Star - Year 5-6
  • 5 Star - Year 6

Non-adaptive tests

  • 8+/9+ - Year 3
  • 9+/10+ - Year 3-4
  • 10+/11+ - Year 4-5
  • 11+ - Year 5
  • 11+/12+ - Year 5-6
  • 12+ - Year 6

Within the 11+ Year 5 section there are three levels of test. Level 1 is where everyone starts. Level 2 is a little harder. And Level 3 contains questions that are tougher to answer. As you progress through the levels your grade percentages may not stay as high. This is normal. Our different levels of testing and learning make sure you're prepared for whatever comes up.
